I recently Chaired the second day of a two day conference on ‘Women in Leadership’, with the theme, ‘How to be Changemakers’. Held in Melbourne, this conference involved keynotes from Lord Mayor, Sally Capp, the Vic Equal Opportunity & Human Rights Commissioner, Kristen Hilton and Managing Director of SEEK, Kendra Banks. Further panels through the day discussed workplace flexibility and strategies for an engaged workforce as well as a brilliant presentation on leading with a Business Heart and Community Head, from Georgie Harman, CEO of Beyond Blue.
More sessions and breakouts through the day explored negotiation skills, the value of mentoring and menteeing, getting heard and owning strengths. This was a bumper packed event aimed at cultivating optimal leading skills for those attending.
