Today marked the annual Ambulance Victoria ‘Thank a Paramedic Day’, in which patients and their families had the opportunity to acknowledge Paramedics for their life saving intervention at various times over the past 12 months. We heard from a handful of people of the deep appreciation they felt for the compassion, dedication and patient centred excellence of Paramedics.
AV CEO, Tony Walker AM and Minister for Health, the Hon. Jill Hennessy MP, officiated the ceremony with high commendations for the service Ambos provide. But it was the anecdotal stories from parents and children who experienced assistance first hand, which had literally every adult in the room, in tears.
As a Victorian, I am perpetually grateful for the work these capeless heroes undertake, daily, saving lives with professionalism and empathy. As a Director with @ambulancevic , I am immensely proud to be part of a world class organisation that delivers patient centred excellence at its core.
