Far From Home, documentary film debut

I was delighted to be one of 12 Australian Muslims selected for a documentary 'Far From Home'. A Saudi Arabian TV station commissioned NZ filmmaker Lisa Savage to document Muslim diaspora stories of those living in the West. IMA ‘Artists Salon’ August

Enjoyed 'The Artist's Salon' event at The Islamic Museum of Australia last night. Hearing diverging stories and perspectives from poet, Nazid Kimmie, mosaic supremo Anisa Sharif, and aviation expert Moustafa Darwiche. Surprise guest was the extraordinary Fatima Killeen who shared her motivation informing an international career in politically astute and stunning artwork, "Art pieces should be conductors of knowledge" says Fatima. 'Looted' , one of her works, features at the IMA. #artysmarty #justice #freepalestine
