A lovely evening at the #girtongrammar VCE Conference Dinner tonight. Co- alumnist, Tim Wastell & I, both delivered presentations to hopefully inspire this cohort of 2017 Year 12 students. We each spoke to issues of pursuing your passions despite obstacles, and accepting these could be overcome with diligence and the support of mentors/role models.
Coming full circle finding myself speaking to students of my high school, was cause to reflect on where time has taken me. Seeing my geography teacher – whose still teaching Year 12 Geography and looking just fabulous – was cause for more joy!
Congrats to this lot and thank you, Girton Grammar for a beautiful evening of warmth and optimism –
much needed in our current climate.
