Tonight I was honoured to be one of six alumni recipients of La Trobe University’s ‘Distinguished Alumni Awards 2018’. It was humbling to be acknowledged for my sector work spanning over two decades, during which I appended my career with a Masters in International Development from La Trobe University.

“At this celebration event, La Trobe bestowed six eminent alumni with one of the University’s highest honours – the Distinguished Alumni Award.
Since its opening 51 years ago, La Trobe has conferred this prestigious award to only 82 of its 200,000 graduates.
The 2018 recipients include cross-cultural consultant, Tasneem Chopra; leading economist, Bronwyn Curtis OBE; ASX 50 business leader, James Fazzino; internationally respected physiotherapist, Dr Susan Mayes; Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aesop, Michael O’Keeffe; and the co-founder of Thankyou Group, Jarryd Burns, who was awarded the Young Achiever Award”.
