Tonight in the latest #ramadandiaries instalment, I enjoyed being in Brisbane at the Queensland Police Service Iftar.
Delivering a keynote to an incredibly warm and inviting crowd their hospitality left me humbled beyond words.
I’m also genuinely impressed at the rapport between QPS Cultural Liaison team and the local Muslim community here-demonstrating a long history of consultation and joint initiatives- way beyond the annual Iftar reach out.
Kudos to faith leaders and the inspiring QPS Commissioner of Police, Ian Stewart.
Tonight, I think all our perceptions shifted.
