I was delighted to visit Bahrain this past weekend for the @IABCEME #EMENAcomm conference, to hear from communications experts across the globe, talk to a theme of ‘Transforming Communication to Drive Strategic Change’. I presented a keynote address on ‘Organised Disruption: Changing the Way We Communicate Inclusively’.
I encountered consummate Comms experts in the field, discussing: purpose, hard talk, AI impacting communications, influence, CSR and leadership – amongst a host of pertinent issues in the communications sector. It was both a privilege and a boon to be a part of this incredible conference experience.
I took the opportunity to network with some inspirational thought leaders in this sector, including the delightful @JanHSpence (Florida), Kendi Guantai (UK), and Fady Ramzy (Egypt). Fortuitously, I also caught up with Comms Guru himself, Adrian Cropley, who showed me the ropes on tone, timing and tact! I was especially proud to make the @AmbulanceVic link through him for his crucial work in its Comms area! I also met the amazing Kate McNamara from WA- specialising in Comms strategies for leadership – delighted to see Australia repping so well.
