Tonight I presented at BondTHINK, a university club based in Bond University on the Gold Coast in Queensland.
This club aims to bring speakers to Bond to speak on a variety of social issues to encourage debate among the younger generation of future leaders of Australia. Previous events have featured Julian Burnside AO QC speaking on the Asylum Seeker issue, philosopher Peter Singer AC discussing animal rights and Australian Information Commissioner Prof John McMillan presenting on the importance of Australia\’s Freedom of Information and Privacy regime.
As they were looking at different issues facing Australia, they asked me to speak of my experiences as a cross cultural consultant and how advocacy can inspire change.
This was an intimate gathering with mainly undergrad students, possessing a keen sense of enquiry. A thoroughly enjoyable gig.
