A wonderful conversation tonight with members of the Girls Leadership Group of #YouthActivatingYouth.
I spoke candidly about the challenges I’ve encountered during my career tackling bigotry in the media and workplace. I rallied these young women onward to boldly step into their #littlebrownwoman power boots, in a society too often obsessed with containing them. These opportunities to engage directly with future leaders and change makers are everything – they remind me of why representation and activism are necessary in order to hold systems to account.
